Bonnie Blue Flag
The Confederate States flew many flags, none of which was recognized by the government of the United States. Georgia, Virginia and North Carolina used flags patterned after their state flags. Louisiana used a flag with a pelican on it but changed to 13 red, white and blue stripes with a lone yellow star in the canton.
The flag consisting of a blue field with a large white star, known as the "Bonnie Blue" flag, was one of the more popular flags to represent the united cause over the entire south.
