Stonington Flag
A flag with a varied design flew at Stonington, CT during the attack on August 9-10, 1814. It has 16 stars and 16 stripes. It is presumed that the flag was made after the admittance of Tennessee as a state in 1796 but before the admittance of Ohio in 1803. Inasmuch as the Second Flag Act was still in effect, this was not an official flag.
