The Corps royal d'infanterie de la Marine was assigned a blue coat with red collar, boot cuffs and lapels, blue turnbacks, yellow metal buttons (three to each cuff and pocket, seven to each lapel and three below the right lapel); blue waistcoat and breeches; black hat laced yellow; white gaiters in summer, black in winter.
On the same day, the three companies of Bombardiers de la Marine were assigned a blue coat with red collar, cuffs, lapels, turnbacks, waistcoat and breeches, yellow metal buttons (three under each cuff and to each pocket, seven to each lapel and three below the right lapel), and bearskin caps with brass plates.
