The next commemorative medal issued was in 1983 when two commemorative medals
were issued commemorating the Bicentennial of the founding of the Society of the
Cincinnati, in bronze and silver. The design followed the original drawing of
the Cincinnati Medal proposed at the time of the Society’s founding, made by
Major L'Enfant in 1783 (Hume #1). For purposes of continuity, we continue the lineage of the medals beyond the last identified by Hume with #19 below. Hume #18, perhaps a late discovery by Hume, is included in this presentation with Hume #8.)

Both varieties of the medal exist attributed on the edge with a unique number stamped into the medal. Examples of the bronze medal, without a number, have also been found.
A bronze medal was produced commemorating the 2004 Triennial Meeting held at Newport, Rhode Island, designed by Harry L. Beckwith.
